A Crisis of Attention

July 28, 2017

One of the many crises that members of our society are facing today is a crisis of attention. Our senses are bombarded with impressions each day from the news, social networks, mobile devices, work, and entertainment. The average attention span for many people, especially young people is getting shorter and shorter. All this digital stimulation is changing the way our brain functions. Contemplative practices can help to rewire our brains, increase our attention span and help us focus more on the most important things in life, each other. http://greatergood.berkeley.edu/…/what_does_the_way_your_mi…
