Contemplative experience is fundamental to the human condition

Everyone is contemplative and everyone has contemplative experiences periodically. These experiences are expressed in many different forms and are inherently personal. It can be physical, emotional, intellectual and is inherently spiritual.  Contemplative practice also takes on a multitude of forms, such as meditation, mindfulness, prayer, chanting, and movements. A Practice can also include exercises such as a walk in nature, knitting or even a hot bath. What defines practice is as much about the intention and attention that we bring to the moment as the exercise itself.
