What is Envision Kindness?

Envision Kindness is a non-profit organization based on a simple premise. The spotlight of the world’s attention should be shined on the positive events that occur every day. Positive pictures and stories have the power to inspire, to connect and to heal. Envision Kindness exists to highlight and share some the good that is happening in our world for the enrichment of others.

What is the mission?

The mission of Envision Kindness is simple and clear: "To promote and inspire kindness in the pursuit of a happier, healthier, and more prosperous world for all. We use strategies rooted in the humanities and behavioral science research, our unique blend of activities is intended to increase the presence of kindness, empathy, and compassion in peoples’ lives." Our goal is to test all of our content and evaluate each of our programs using the latest research to understand the impact on how people think, feel and act.

How is mission achieved?

The organization offers engaging programs and content that depicts, describes or discusses kindness in a diversity of expressions. Research suggests that exposure to impressions of kindness helps people feel happier, healthier and more connected to the world around them. Our approach is informed by social science research, with a focus on positive and neuropsychology. By understanding how people respond to pictures and stories, specifically those of kindness, we can deliver the best possible outcome for society. The aim to make kindness tangible, measurable and most of all, more visible.

What is unique about the Envision Kindness approach?

We believe that humans are born with kindness and empathy as a natural state. However, we can sometimes forget, or feel lost and disconnected in a world that can at times seem cold and frightening. Envision Kindness helps remind and connect people by 1) Collecting, creating and spreading kindness 2) Offering Arts-based programs for schools and communities 3) Measuring results using key performance indicators to constantly evaluate and improve the quality of the programs and content being offered.
