Contemplative Communion is an interspiritual community of practice and is open to everyone interested in transformation - a gathering of people interested in exploring the Ultimate Mystery and the contemplative dimension of Christianity.

Our mission is to foster a community of practitioners whose aim is to be transformed in love. Our vision is to serve as an interspiritual model that embodies practice and community, contemplation and action. Our aim is to foster a global community of practitioners and communities that are interested in exploring and living a more contemplative life.

What is meant by the name Contemplative Communion?

The word contemplative (kuh n-tem-pluh-tiv) refers to inner-life, the essence of every human being. Everyone is contemplative. It is a way of seeing through the lens of an observing witness. It refers to practices of silence, reflection, and meditation. The word communion means the intimate sharing of spiritual thoughts and feelings and reflections with others. Communion is also the root of community. It refers to people joining together as one, united in their humanity and in the mystery of God’s love. Communion also represents Christ’s parting gift, the sacrament of Eucharist.
